South Great George’s Street
Detail of a corner of the former South City Market, built in
red-brick Victorian style between 1876 and 1881. In August 1892
the building was destroyed by fire, and rebuilt in the same style
in 1894. Since then it is known as George's Street Arcade and nowadays is a shopping centre. It’s a work by Lockwood & Mauson British architects.
