Memorial to the puppeteer Laurent Mourguet (Lyon, 3 March 1769 - Vienne, Isère, 30 December 1844), creator of the puppet Guignol (1808) and of the first permanent Guignol theater (1839). The bronze bust is a work (1911) of the artist François Girardet (Bourg-en-Bresse, 1852 -?), and the relief, of Pierre Aubert (1853-1912). The monument was unveiled on 21 April 1912.
