MOSTAR, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Minaret of the Ćejvan-Ćehajina džamija in the Velika Tepa (Grand Market) of the old city. This mosque was built between 1552 and 1553. During the Bosnian War was completely destroyed: in 1992 by the Yugoslavian Army (JNA, Jugoslovenska narodna armija), and later, in 1993, by the Croatian Army of Bosnia (ARBiH, Armija Republike Bosne i Hercegovine). It was rebuilt with international aid in the early 21st century.
