TARTU, Estonia. Võidu sild


TARTU, Estonia

One of the four obelisks of the Võidu sild [Victory bridge] on the Emajõgi River, in the city center, built in reinforced concrete between 1952 and 1957. It was restored in 2015 and is under discussion the change of name, which was imposed by the Soviet regime in 1965 in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War.
