Hodiny na
Mestskej veži [Clock of City tower]. The top of the tower (57 meters
high), whose construction began in 1574. It was renovated several times, having
suffered fires in 1666 and 1683, again between 1938 and 1941, and finally
restored between 1997 and 1998. On top of the dome there is an image of the
Virgin Mary (which was replaced by the emblem of the five-pointed star during
the communist era). The clock mechanism (1729) was made by the Franz Langer
workshop.
