RHODOS / ΡΟΔΟΣ, Greece.

Statue of Saint Francis of Assisi in front of the Catholic Cathedral of Rhodos, built between 1936 and 1939. The sculpture (1938) is a work of Italian artist Alessandro Monteleone (Radicena [now Taurianova], 5 February 1897 - Rome, 25 December 1967).

LUGANO, Switzerland.
Salita dei Frati

Convento dei Cappuccini [Capuchin monastery]. Top of the façade, in Neo-Renaissance style, designed by architect Giuseppe Bordonzotti (Croglio, 3 November 1877 - Lugano, 17 April 1932) and built between 1909 and 1910. It was restored between 1981 
and 1982 to give the original look of the church , 17th century. The statue is of St. Francis of Assisi.
