CASTELLÓ DE LA PLANA, Spain. Bell tower of the church of Sant Vicent Ferrer


Plaça del Fadrell.

Bell tower of the church of Sant Vicent Ferrer, built during several periods from its foundation, as a temple of a convent, in 1579. During the long process of construction and remodeling of the building, a mixture of styles was produced, but the predominant ones were the Baroque and Neoclassical. The current building is from 1835. The bell tower is older, it was built between 1661 and 1688.

BARCELONA, Spain. Gràcia

Campanar de Gràcia (Bell Tower of Gràcia) or Torre del Rellotge (Clock Tower), designed by the architect Antoni Rovira i Trias (1816-1889), built in 1864 in the Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia. It was restored in 1882. It is 33 meters high. The clock machinery, with four spheres, was built by the Swiss watchmaker Albert Billeter (1815-1894) the forerunner of electric clocks in Spain. Topping off the structure, there is a large bell by Isidre Pallarès.

COIMBRA, Portugal
Largo da Feira dos Estudantes

Sé nova [New Cathedral]. Top of the baroque façade, finished at the middle of the 17th century, many years after the inauguration of the temple (1698) as church of Jesuit College. This contrasts with the lower part of the façade, built in Mannerist style.

CÓRDOBA, Spain

Baroque bell tower of the church of San Agustín, built in the 16th century. After nearly a century of neglect, the church began to be restored in 1903, and other restoration work has since been performed, the last of which took place in 2009.

Parish Church of Saint-Martin / Sant Martí. Part of the facade and bell tower in form of gable in Neo-Baroque style. This church was built in the 19th century and its stained glass windows were placed in 1905.

Bell tower with a clock and the bronze figures of Micheze and Jacheze Moors, which, with a mechanism, ring the bell every quarter hour since 1876. Both these figures as the eclectic building of the Palazzo (Town Hall) was designed by the architect Giuseppe Bruni (Trieste, 1827 - 
18 August 1877).
