Detail of the Elephant Fountain, designed by the architect Giovanni Battista Vaccarini (Palermo, 3.2.1702 - Milazzo, 11.3.1768) between 1735 and 1737. The figure of the elephant, in black basalt, popularly known as "u Liotru", is the symbol of the city of Catania.

Monument to the publisher, writer, artist and art collector Neri Pozza (Vicenza, 5 August 1912 - 6 November 1988), unveiled on 11 September 2012. The bronze bust is a work of the sculptor Nereo Quagliato (Vicenza, 1939 - Costozza di Longare, 17 October 2012).

Plaque in memory of the Italian anatomist, physician and biologist Bartolomeo Panizza (Vicenza, 17 August 1785 - Pavia, 17 April 1867) in his birthplace. Panizza is known For His Important studies on the lymphatic system, cranial nerves and human vision.

Bust in memory of military and sailor Francisco Molino or Molin (Venice, 21 April 1575 - 27 February 1655), which was Dux of the Republic of Venice from January 1646 until his death. He noted for his struggle against the Turks for possession of the Greek island of Crete and for other important maritime campaigns carried out by the Venetian Republic.

Under the bust you can read this inscription in Latin, dated 1639:

IN CRETA INSULA, CUI SUMMO CUM IMPERIO PRAEFUIT, STATUAM FRANCISCO MOLINO MILES CONSECRAT.
AMOVERI SENATOR MERUISSE CONTENTUS MODESTE IUBET ILLAM, POSTERITAS UT DISCAT ADMIRABUNDA SENATORIUM ESSE IMMINERE, NON EMINERE HONORUM FASTIGIIS NICOLAUS COMES GUALDUS PR. MILITUM EX PRAEF. / II P.C. MDCXXXIX.

Neo-Renaissance polygonal dome of Santa Chiara’s church, attached to the convent of the Poor Clares, built in the late 15th century. The name of the architect who designed is not known, 
but is attributed to Domenico da Venezia. The temple underwent numerous deteriores because of floods and an earthquake and
was in a state of semi-abandonment, until it was restored between 1878 and 1885.

Arco delle Scalette [Arch of the little stairs], celebrative arch built in 1595, whose design is attributed to the architect Andrea Palladio (1508-1580). Its function is not very clear.

Villa Almerico Capra or La Rotonda. The atrium of the front
door. The building, completely symmetrical, was designed in
the Renaissance style by the architect Andrea Palladio (Padua,
30 November 1508 - Maser, Treviso, 19 August 1580) and built between 1566 and 1585. In 1994 he was registered, with other works of Palladio, in the list of World Heritage of UNESCO.

Clock of the Torre Civica (known as Campanone), built between the 11th and 12th centuries. The clock was added in 1958 and its machinery was replaced by a more modern one, electric, in 1990s.

Palazzo della Ragione

Relief sculpture of the Lion of Saint Mark (symbol of the Republic of Venice) on the facade of the first floor. Destroyed by Napoleon's troops in the late 17th century, it was restored by the municipality of Venice, which gave it to the city of Bergamo in 1933.
