Sculpture made by Domenico Trentacoste (Palermo, 20 September
1859 - Florence, 18 March 1933), also known as "The Winged Victory"
or "The Savior Angel”, in honor of local victims during the World War I.
The monument was inaugurated 26 August 1926 in Corso del Popolo, in front of San Giacomo’s basilica.
