LUGANO, Switzerland.
Piazza Carlo Battaglini

Monument to the Swiss politician Carlo Battaglini (Cagiallo, Lugano, 
2 July 1812 - Lugano, 3 August 1888). The bronze sculpture was made 
in Art Nouveau style by the artist Luca Vassalli (Lugano, 1867-1933), 
and was unveiled in 1921.
