SANDOMIERZ, Poland

Latarnia Chocimska [Chocim lantern]. It is the oldest lantern of the city. According to a legend, it was made about 1680 by the knights of Sandomierz when they returned home after the victorious battle of armies by Jan III Sobieski against the Turks in Khotyn (1673).
