GRENOBLE, France.
Château d'eau Lavalette (Fontaine aux dauphins), place Grenette.

The Château d'eau Lavalette, sometimes called Fontaine aux amours et aux dauphins, or even, quite simply, Fontaine Lavalette, was inaugurated in 1824. The sculptures of cherubs and dolphins (photo below) are a work by Victor Sappey (Grenoble, 1801-1856).
