Mammoth made to real scale with concrete (with a metal mesh structure) in 1907 (1908, according to other sources), the only example made of a stone zoo project of extinct species, devised by the Catalan geologist, speleologist and naturalist Norbert Font i Saqué (1873-1910), which never became a reality. This piece is the work of the sculptor Miquel Dalmau, who was commissioned by the Barcelona City Council. It was restored in 1998.
